Chicago, Built in Glass

Hancock turns one of Chicago’s most recognizable silhouettes into a towering composition of color, structure, and light. The building’s exposed geometry becomes the backbone of the piece, surrounded by warm oranges, cool blues, and sweeping shapes inspired by stained glass and architectural ornament.

Rather than recreate the skyline literally, the painting pulls the Hancock out of it - letting the tower stand alone as both Chicago landmark and graphic icon.
