D. Line - Artist
Dennis Line is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, illustration, and design—often blending traditional techniques with bold, narrative-driven visuals. Best known for developing Glassism, a style that fuses the structure of stained glass with hand-painted detail, Dennis also creates richly layered acrylic and oil paintings, graphite drawings, and mixed media works that explore story, place, and Americana with modern edge.
With a background in illustration and a career rooted in both commercial and fine art, his work reflects a balance of precision and play—always grounded in craft, and never far from a good story. Originally from Illinois and now based in Colorado, Dennis brings decades of experience, curiosity, and grit to every piece he creates.

'Glassism'
Glassism is Dennis Line’s signature painting style—merging the structure of stained glass with the warmth and texture of traditional paint. Each piece begins as a hand-drawn design, then comes to life through layered color, pane-like divisions, and luminous detail. The result is bold, nostalgic, and unmistakably modern—art that glows like glass but breathes like paint.

Drawings
These pencil drawings are where the ideas begin—pure, raw, and full of intention. Each piece captures the foundation of Dennis Line’s style before the color arrives: strong forms, sharp silhouettes, and storytelling built in graphite. Whether standalone or stepping stones to larger works, they reveal the structure beneath the surface—the hand, the line, the spark.

Oil & Acrylic Paintings
Dennis Line’s oil paintings are hand-built, layer by layer, using traditional techniques and a modern painter’s eye. Rich with texture, depth, and storytelling, each piece is crafted with brush, palette, and patience—no shortcuts, no digital. Just oil, canvas, and time.

Screen Prints
For over a decade, Dennis operated a traditional screen printing studio, producing handcrafted art boards using classic techniques—each piece pulled by hand with layered inks and precision registration. The result was a bold, tactile aesthetic that blended fine art and graphic design. Although he has since retired that portion of the studio, the influence of screen printing continues to shape his visual language, especially in his use of line, contrast, and layout. A limited number of original prints from that era remain available as part of his studio archive.

Photography
Dennis' photography journey began in art school, where he studied film and developed prints in the darkroom—learning to see through grain, light, and patience. As the digital age transformed the medium, he embraced new tools while keeping his eye rooted in classic composition and storytelling. Today, his work spans 360° immersive photography, long-exposure landscapes, and expressive portraiture, often blending technical precision with a painter’s sense of tone. Whether capturing a fleeting moment or a fully constructed scene, Line approaches each image as a crafted visual narrative.

Graphic Design
Dennis' design work reflects decades of hands-on experience across both analog and digital platforms. Trained in visual communication and layout during his time at Ray College of Design in Chicago, he developed a sharp eye for typography, composition, and visual storytelling. His portfolio spans brand identity, poster design, editorial layout, packaging, and product graphics—often blending illustration, photography, and a bold design sensibility rooted in screen printing and fine art. Whether creating for print or digital, Line approaches each project with clarity, purpose, and a deep respect for craft.
